A two-day international conference titled “Girls' Education in Muslim Societies: Opportunities and Challenges” is underway in Islamabad.
In her address, Malala Yousafzai highlighted that 120 million girls worldwide are unable to attend school, and in Pakistan alone, 10 million girls have been out of school.
She expressed her gratitude to the Muslim World League for organizing the event and pointed out, "Israel has destroyed the entire education system in Gaza."
Malala emphasized that the purpose of the conference would remain incomplete if the issue of Afghan girls' education was not addressed, stating, "The Taliban have deprived Afghan girls of education for a decade."
She further mentioned, "The Taliban have enacted over a hundred laws to deprive women of their rights and do not consider them human."
It is noteworthy that Malala Yousafzai arrived in Pakistan yesterday to participate in the conference on girls' education.
Upon her arrival, Malala was welcomed by the Parliamentary Secretary for Education.
In a message on her social media account, Malala expressed her excitement about participating in the conference with global Muslim leaders to discuss girls' education.
