November 24 Protest: Raids and Arrests Ongoing, PTI's Strategy for Islamabad Protest Unveiled

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has intensified preparations for the protest scheduled for November 24, revealing its strategy for entering Islamabad. On the other hand, law enforcement agencies have become active, launching a crackdown against party leaders and workers. Several key figures and supporters have already been arrested. Salman Akram Raja has expressed concerns that he might be abducted tonight.

According to a private TV report, after announcing the protest, PTI has finalized its strategy to enter Islamabad. The plan involves storming the capital from all four sides on November 24.

The report also mentions that PTI leadership is determined to reach Islamabad at all costs. Regional leaders in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been assigned crucial responsibilities.

It has been reported that caravans from all provinces have been instructed to take separate routes to enter the city. The specific locations for staying in Islamabad will be decided later. However, the core committee has suggested camping at D-Chowk. The party leadership has told workers to prepare for an indefinite protest.

The report further states that PTI has directed its members of the national and provincial assemblies to bear the costs of transporting workers from their areas to Islamabad. In the event of the party leadership's arrest, a Plan B will be implemented, which includes a list of alternative leaders who will be assigned tasks.

Meanwhile, Barrister Saif, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, announced that the November 24 protest would proceed as planned and dismissed speculation about any agreement with the establishment.

Barrister Saif emphasized that this is a time for resistance, following clear instructions from the party founder to meet demands.

He added that preparations are in full swing under the supervision of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, with consultations and meetings held with MNAs, MPAs, and party leaders over the past three days.

Barrister Saif also defended Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, calling her a "respectable citizen of Pakistan" and stating that she is not involved in active politics.

He denied allegations of using provincial machinery for the protest, clarifying that the participation of Rescue 1122 vehicles in a previous rally was due to the Chief Minister’s involvement.

Raids and Arrests Begin

Separately, during the night between Saturday and Sunday, law enforcement agencies conducted multiple raids in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore, resulting in the detention of several PTI members.

The report reveals CCTV footage showing police raiding the residences of PTI leaders.

In NA-48 Rawalpindi, PTI Secretary General Raja Ghazanfar was arrested, while a raid was conducted on central leader Shoaib Shaheen's residence.

In Lahore, heavy police contingents raided the home of Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed. His son, Dr. Hassan, said that despite Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed being in jail for the past 18 months, police continue to raid their house. He added that his mother is the only one at home, while he himself is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
