Karachi Airport: Two Passengers Detained for Attempting to Travel Abroad with Fake Documents

The FIA Immigration at Karachi Airport offloaded two passengers due to suspicious and forged documents.

The detained passengers were identified as Abdullah Khan and Insomani Kumba. In the first operation, Abdullah Khan was taken into custody while attempting to travel to Northern Cyprus on flight PC 131.

During immigration clearance, the passenger was found suspicious, and there was no prior travel record to Cyprus on his passport.

During the initial investigation, the suspect admitted that he had obtained fake visas and documents from an agent named Fahad Hussain. He revealed that he had paid the agent $1,400 and 60,000 Pakistani rupees for the forged documents. The passenger further disclosed that he was traveling for employment, not for educational purposes.

In the second operation, another passenger, Insomani Kumba, who was traveling to Guinea-Bissau, was taken into custody. He was transferred to the second-line office after appearing suspicious during immigration clearance.

The passenger's passport was found to be counterfeit, with several critical defects. It lacked the Silkscreen feature and other key security elements, such as a hologram, which are present in genuine passports.

A forensic analysis by the second-line system confirmed the passport as fake. The suspects were taken into custody and transferred to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal action and investigation.
