Through a partnership with HealthTap, a U.S.-based virtual primary care provider, Samsung Health users will be able to search for doctors, schedule appointments, and chat with professionals about medical concerns—all without needing to physically visit a clinic. Samsung says the feature also allows patients to review upcoming visits and send follow-up questions via text. From initial checks, it appears most major U.S. health insurance providers cover the service, making it a significant step toward broader access to healthcare.
Additionally, Walgreens is being integrated into the Health Records section for prescription management—an omission many users had previously noted. According to Samsung, this addition will let users track prescriptions more easily, compare current and past medications, and stay on top of their health routines within the app’s streamlined interface.
On the fitness side, Samsung Health is introducing new premium workout content powered by iFIT. This includes programs for HIIT, Pilates, recovery routines, and more, all accessible directly from the phone. The workouts will be categorized under sections like Trending and Seasonal Picks. While Samsung hasn’t revealed final pricing yet, the fine print notes that “pricing and promotional offers are subject to change.”
All these updates will begin rolling out to Samsung Health starting September 8.
