Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry stated that the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is continually violating laws.
In a press conference, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry recounted that during the era of Musharraf's fascism in 2004, the party leader (Nawaz Sharif) instructed the establishment of a central party office. At that time, no one was willing to provide a place for our party office, so I offered my personal house for the party office, where all our meetings and corner meetings continued until 2015.
He explained that in 2015, the CDA decided to ban commercial activities in residential sectors. Following the CDA notice, we closed our office and, on Nawaz Sharif’s instructions, relocated our political office to Chak Shahzad.
The PML(N) leader mentioned that the PTI leadership is making noise that an operation was carried out in Gaza style. The plot in G-8 was allotted for a Class III Shopping Center, which has its own regulations. In 2013, permission was sought for a third floor in this building, which the CDA denied, but when PTI established its central office, two additional floors were constructed, and four marla canal land was occupied.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry stated that lies are being told in the media that the central office was sealed without notice. The first notice was given to PTI in November 2020, the second notice was sent by the CDA during the PTI government in February 2021, the third notice was given on June 14, 2022, the fourth notice on September 5, 2022, and finally, the fifth and final notice on September 4, 2023.
He said that attempts are being made to prove through statements and lies that a sudden raid was carried out on the central office. They claim to talk about upholding the constitution and the law, but the CDA regulates all buildings in Islamabad, and the PTI leadership is continually violating laws. Everything has become a habit of politics and lies for them.
He added that he is not in favor of political cases against any political worker. PML(N) has never politically imprisoned anyone nor promoted such a culture. Yasmin Rashid is respectable and should be given leniency on medical grounds.
