The government is set to pass the constitutional amendment bill related to the judiciary through the National Assembly and the Senate today. The details of the proposed judicial package by the government have come to light.

The draft of this proposed constitutional amendment has not been seen by anyone so far. The opposition also complains about not having been provided with the draft. Even during a meeting with Bilawal, the draft could not be shown to him, and even the Deputy Prime Minister is unaware of the bill's contents.

Sources have claimed that the proposed constitutional amendments include more than 20 clauses.

Sources have indicated that potentially amendments will be made to Articles 51, 63, 175, and 187 of the Constitution.

According to the sources, the bill also includes an amendment to increase the representation of the Balochistan Assembly, raising the number of seats from 65 to 81.

Sources say that amendments to the votes of dissident members and Article 63 of the Constitution are also included in the bill.

It is said that, according to the bill, appeals against the decision of the Constitutional Court will be heard in the Constitutional Court itself. There is a possibility of amending Article 181 of the Constitution as well, and the Constitutional Court will hear petitions related to Articles 184, 185, and 186.

Similarly, there is a proposal to transfer High Court judges to the High Courts of other provinces. The appointment of the Chief Justice of Pakistan will be made from a panel of the five senior judges of the Supreme Court. The government will appoint the Chief Justice from these five senior judges of the Supreme Court, and the remaining four judges of the Constitutional Court will also be appointed by the government.
