Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Issues Production Orders for Arrested PTI Members of the National Assembly

Production orders for the arrested members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been issued, directing them to be presented at the next parliamentary session.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has issued production orders for 10 arrested members of the National Assembly, instructing that they be brought to participate in the parliamentary proceedings.

The production orders have been issued for PTI's arrested leaders, including Sher Afzal Marwat, Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar, Muhammad Ahmed Chatha, Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Zubair Khan Wazir, Owais Haider Jhakar, Syed Shah Ahad Shah, Naseem Ali Shah, and Yousaf Khan.

The Speaker of the National Assembly has issued these production orders under the authority granted by Rule 108 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, ensuring the arrested members' participation in the ongoing session.

Prior to this, a PTI delegation led by Barrister Gohar met with the Speaker of the National Assembly to request the issuance of production orders.

The delegation included Barrister Gohar, Dawar Kundi, and Ali Muhammad Khan. Barrister Gohar stated that despite verbal assurances from the Speaker the previous day, they have now approached the Speaker's office for a written order.

Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Mohsin Naqvi, and Chairman of the People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in his chamber regarding the matter.

Barrister Gohar emphasized that no formal written request is required for production orders, expressing hope that the orders would be issued soon, as it is their legal right since the members were arrested from the floor of the assembly.

He added that Parliament has its own security forces, and it is the responsibility of these forces to ensure the protection of the members within the parliamentary premises.

Ali Muhammad Khan highlighted that, although they had been assured that production orders would be issued, they have yet to be enforced. He urged that the production orders for the arrested members be issued without delay.

According to sources, the Speaker has issued the production orders for the PTI members for the upcoming parliamentary session, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 11 AM.
