20 workers arrested in Gulberg

In Lahore’s Gulberg, the police raided a PTI corner meeting, leading to a clash between the police and PTI workers.

When PTI workers started pelting stones, the police responded with aerial firing.

Subsequently, the police detained more than 20 PTI workers, who were then transferred to the police station in a prison van.

After the arrest of their fellow workers, angry protesters blocked the Mini Market road and set tires on fire.

Arrests in Vehari

In Vehari, ISF District President Rana Mohsin Minhas and four others were arrested and transferred to the district jail for 30 days.

Sources indicate that raids are also being conducted on the homes of other PTI leaders in Vehari.

Meeting regarding the arrest of 4,000 absconding individuals of May 9

A high-level meeting of the Punjab government was held, during which teams were formed by the Punjab Police for the arrests.

According to Punjab government sources, 3,700 absconding individuals are to be arrested on the occasion of the Lahore rally on May 9.

Sources also state that the arrests of absconding individuals will be carried out using modern technology, for which teams have been formed by the Punjab Police.

PTI granted permission to hold a rally at Kahna Nau Cattle Market instead of Minar-e-Pakistan with 43 conditions

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been granted permission by the administration to hold a rally at Kahna Nau Cattle Market on Lahore Ring Road instead of Minar-e-Pakistan.

The Lahore district administration has granted PTI permission to hold the rally with 43 conditions and regulations.

A notification containing 43 conditions regarding the PTI rally has also been issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore.

The notification includes a clause for Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur to apologize for the language used in the September 8 rally. PTI will be allowed to hold the rally from 3 PM to 6 PM, and the security of the rally will be the responsibility of the organizers.

Earlier, a meeting of the District Intelligence Committee regarding the permission for PTI’s rally was held at the Lahore headquarters under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shahid Abbas Kathia, in which the police report was reviewed.

The meeting considered suggestions on whether or not to grant permission for the PTI rally and reviewed the option of allowing it at a location other than Minar-e-Pakistan.

Sources said that according to court orders, a decision on PTI’s request will be made by 5 PM.

Sources indicated that PTI might be allowed to hold the rally at another location in Lahore, and the NOC for the rally’s permission will be issued by 5 PM.

Meanwhile, an important meeting of the Punjab government regarding PTI’s rally at Minar-e-Pakistan is ongoing. Punjab government sources stated that people coming from any province will not be allowed to disturb the peace, and no one will be allowed to create unrest. If anyone tries to take the law into their own hands, the law will take action.

Punjab government spokesperson Uzma Bukhari said in a statement that PTI is already in a state of panic before the rally. She urged not to spread propaganda about road closures and obstacles. She added that if people from Punjab are not joining the rally, it is not their fault.

It is noteworthy that today the Lahore High Court ordered the Deputy Commissioner to decide on PTI’s request for permission to hold the rally by 5 PM. Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan said that if the rally is stopped, the entire nation will protest at Minar-e-Pakistan.
