At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from October 2 to 4.

According to a spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Malaysian Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials. A meeting between Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will take place.

The two leaders will discuss various sectors such as trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, industry, tourism, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections to further strengthen relations between Pakistan and Malaysia. They will also exchange views on regional and global issues. According to the spokesperson, Pakistan and Malaysia have strong bilateral relations rooted in history, culture, and faith. The visit provides an important opportunity to further consolidate these ties.

Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim will officially visit Pakistan from October 2 to 4, 2024. A delegation comprising ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials will accompany the Malaysian Prime Minister, who will meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The spokesperson added that both sides will discuss cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, agriculture, the halal industry, and tourism. They will also deliberate on strengthening cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties, along with reviewing regional and global developments.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch further mentioned that Pakistan and Malaysia enjoy strong bilateral relations based on shared history, culture, and faith, and this visit serves as an important opportunity to strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia relations even further.
