Thousands of displaced Palestinians are returning to their destroyed homes via the Nitzarim Corridor following the ceasefire. The returnees appeared joyful, with smiles on their faces, chanting slogans in support of Al-Qassam Brigades resistance fighters.
A video shared on the photo and video-sharing platform Instagram shows an Al-Qassam Brigades fighter giving water to an elderly woman. In the same video, Palestinian children are seen taking pictures with the fighters, while people chant slogans in their favor.
Israeli Withdrawal and Ceasefire Developments
According to Arab media, the Israeli army has begun withdrawing from the Nitzarim area, which divides Gaza into two parts. Thousands of Palestinians had gathered in the area earlier this morning to return to their destroyed neighborhoods.
Israel opened the corridor following the resolution of the issue regarding the release of hostage Erbil Yehud. Israel received a list of hostages to be freed in the first phase of the ceasefire, including 18 living and 8 deceased hostages.
In exchange for Palestinian prisoners, three hostages will be released on Thursday and another three on Saturday.
West Bank and Lebanon Updates
Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, an Israeli drone attacked a vehicle in Tulkarm, resulting in the martyrdom of two Palestinians.
The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has been extended until February 18.
In southern Lebanon, 24 people were martyred, and 134 others were injured in Israeli attacks yesterday.
