Android Auto 14.1 Update Now Rolling Out to More Users

Google is now rolling out the Android Auto 14.1 update more widely, just as a new version enters the beta program.

Version 14.1 was first introduced in beta back in March, around the same time Google began adding support for games on the platform. Although it initially seemed like the two were related, that doesn’t appear to be the case. As such, Android Auto 14.1 isn’t particularly exciting on its own, but it's now becoming available to a broader group of users.

Google began pushing version 14.1 to the stable release track earlier this month, and now the rollout is expanding further — following the typical pattern for Android Auto updates. The full rollout may still take a few weeks, but you can check the Play Store now to see if the update is available for your device.

As mentioned, this update doesn’t introduce any major new features, but it could fix some bugs that have been affecting users recently. If you’ve been experiencing issues, it’s worth updating to see if things improve — and don’t forget to share your experience in the comments.

Behind the scenes, more features are on the way. This includes the anticipated arrival of Gemini, as well as new temperature and defrost controls that were spotted in recent builds. However, these features aren't live yet, so it's unclear when they'll be officially launched.

Android Auto 14.1 is now rolling out via the Play Store.
