After an initial six-month delay following the launch of Android 15, Samsung finally pushed One UI 7 to the Galaxy S24 lineup and its 2024 foldable devices by April 8 and April 10, respectively, across various global markets. Although a subsequent bug briefly stalled the process again, Samsung managed to get things back on track relatively quickly.
Due to the earlier delays, Samsung had officially revised its rollout calendar, shifting updates for most devices to May, June, and even July. While the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 remained on their original timeline, other models saw significant rescheduling.
However, Samsung has recently flipped the script. The Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10, and Tab S9 families have all received their One UI 7 updates ahead of the adjusted schedule. And now, even more devices — including the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and the older Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 (via SammyFans and SamMobile reports) — are getting their updates earlier than expected. Originally, these updates were planned for release around May 2025, meaning Samsung is now officially ahead of its own timeline.
Still, the real test will be how quickly Samsung can deliver these updates across all global markets.
Looking ahead, devices still waiting in the One UI 7 pipeline include the Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup, and a large portion of Galaxy A series devices.
