Update: Although restarting didn’t immediately restore the “Battery Health” percentage, the data page reappeared after a recent reboot. You can also try force-stopping the Settings app to bring it back. Compared to Beta 3, some users are now reporting higher battery percentages in Beta 4. For example, on our Pixel 9, the battery health jumped from 97% to 100%.
In Beta 4, going to Settings > Battery no longer shows the “Battery Health” section. Instead, the focus has shifted back to charging optimization on the main battery page.
This change has been observed on Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9, and Pixel 9 Pro. However, one Pixel 9 we tested still showed battery health information, indicating the feature might not have been removed universally.
When everything is working properly, Battery Health shows a large green checkmark. Google defines your phone’s battery capacity as “the estimated percentage of charge compared to a brand-new standard battery.” Naturally, this value declines as your device ages.
There’s also a list of current battery health tips, and the Charging Optimization section has been pushed to the bottom of the page.
Battery diagnostics now include options to check your device’s temperature (e.g., “Phone is too hot”) and track the cycle count under Phone > Battery Information.
Hopefully, the full battery health feature will return in the stable release expected in June — and won’t be restricted only to newer Pixel models.
