Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, contacted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and urged him to resolve the issues faced by private Hajj pilgrims. In response, the Prime Minister ordered immediate action.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the problems being faced by private Hajj pilgrims and demanded that the arrangements for those traveling through private channels be ensured so they can perform Hajj without hindrance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured Maulana Fazlur Rehman of full cooperation and immediately directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take urgent steps to assist the Hajj pilgrims.
Earlier, a delegation representing Hajj group organizers had met Maulana Fazlur Rehman and briefed him about their issues.
According to a spokesperson for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has previously also played a role in resolving the problems faced by Hajj pilgrims.
