Snowfall in Ghizer, Road Closures, Intensifying Cold

Snowfall began in the mountainous areas of the district headquarters Gahkuch in Ghizer, with snow also reported in Darkut and Langar, causing temperatures to plunge further. The Ghizer-Chitral road and parts of Langar are now blocked, stranding travelers and causing serious difficulties.

Muzaffarabad city and nearby areas saw storms and rainfall that tripped multiple power feeders. In Jhelum, intense wind and thunderstorm-triggered rain also led to feeder failures. Meanwhile, heavy rain and wind in Pallandri resulted in a complete power outage.

Storms and heavy rainfall hit Rawalakot city and its surroundings. In Bagh city and nearby areas, both rain and hail were reported, causing damage to standing crops.
