Reforms are underway in various sectors in Punjab: Maryam Nawaz

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, addressing the Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, said that reforms are underway to improve various sectors in Punjab, with special focus being given to health and education.

Speaking on the topic of "The Transformative Power of Education" at the Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, Maryam Nawaz stated, "I am the first female Chief Executive of Punjab and am serving in the capacity of Chief Minister."

She added that reforms are being carried out to improve various sectors in Punjab, with particular attention being given to health and education. Steps have been taken to promote education in the province.

She further said that Punjab is Pakistan's largest province, where she is working as an ambassador of education. "Educating girls is my priority, and we have also taken initiatives for teacher training."

Maryam Nawaz stated that measures have been taken to improve the primary education sector in the province, and schools in Punjab are being shifted to modern technology.

She mentioned that the first Internet City is being established in Lahore under the name of Nawaz Sharif, and that providing swift justice to the people is part of her vision.

Earlier, during her visit to Türkiye, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received a warm welcome upon arriving at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Türkiye’s First Lady, Emine Erdoğan, welcomed her.

It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister of Punjab is visiting Türkiye at the invitation of the Turkish First Lady. Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb is also accompanying her.

The fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum is being held from April 11 to 13 under the theme “Advancing Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”

Global leaders, policymakers, academics, business experts, and representatives from the media and civil society from around the world are participating in the ADF.
