Earlier this month, after nearly six months of anticipation, Samsung finally began distributing the Android 15-based One UI 7 update to Galaxy users. However, the company abruptly paused the rollout shortly after it began, citing only that the delay was meant to "ensure the best possible experience." No further explanation was provided.
Regardless of the original issue, Samsung has now restarted the rollout process.
Galaxy S24 users who haven't received the update yet can expect it to land on their devices in the coming days. According to reports from SamMobile and SammyFans, the update has already started rolling out in South Korea and is expected to expand to other regions soon. Tech insider Ice Universe added that the update is a new build—even those who had previously installed One UI 7 will receive this refreshed version. The latest build brings a more complete package, restoring features missing from the earlier release, such as the charging animation and music player support within the navigation bar.
As for other devices, there's no confirmed timeline yet for when the rollout will resume for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. However, it's expected that those devices will follow shortly. Additionally, Samsung is likely to extend the rollout to older Galaxy devices starting in May, according to a schedule the company shared earlier this week.
