Two human traffickers involved in Libya boat tragedy arrested in Faisalabad

The Anti-Money Laundering Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Faisalabad has arrested two proclaimed offenders involved in the Libya boat tragedy.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the two human traffickers involved in the Libya boat incident have been arrested. The suspects have been identified as Ataullah and Faisal Shehzad, both residents of Sialkot.

The spokesperson stated that the suspects defrauded citizens by promising overseas employment, extorting millions of rupees. They took large sums of money from people to illegally send them to Italy.

According to the FIA, the suspects attempted to illegally send two individuals to Italy via Libya. The suspects held Muhammad Nadeem and Ajmal hostage in safe houses in Libya and subjected them to torture. Muhammad Nadeem died in the boat accident. The suspects also purchased properties with the money earned through human trafficking.
