Responding to a question from an Indian anchor regarding ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India, Professor Gao emphasized that in the event of any terrorist attack, it is important to call for impartial investigations instead of making baseless accusations without evidence.
He pointed out that while Chinese citizens have been targeted by terrorists in Pakistan, China has never blamed Pakistan without cause and has instead demanded independent investigations.
Professor Gao further noted that Pakistan has taken significant steps in counterterrorism efforts.
He reiterated that the friendship between China and Pakistan is as strong as a “steel-reinforced wall” and that the two countries stand by each other in both good and bad times.
He asserted that China will always assist Pakistan in defending its borders and sovereignty, and there will be no compromise on the defense partnership between the two nations.
