Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold Launch Pushed to October Amid Supply Chain Delays

According to a new report, Google’s upcoming devices—including the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold—won’t actually reach consumers until October, despite being announced later this month.

According to WinFuture, which cites insiders, Google intends to reveal the whole Pixel 10 lineup at its next launch event, including with the Pixel Watch 4, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel Buds 2a.  However, while the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are expected to hit the market in August, the Watch 4 and Pro Fold will reportedly not be available until October 9, over a month after the initial release window.

The report attributes the delay to unspecified “supply chain issues.” Such postponements aren’t unusual—last year’s rollout was even more fragmented. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL went on sale on August 22, one week following their announcement.  However, the smaller Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold were not available until September 4. The Pixel Watch 3 arrived nearly a month after its announcement, on September 10, while the Pixel Buds Pro 2 didn’t launch until September 26. Google offered no clear explanation for those delays, and a similar lack of transparency is expected this time.

With half of the lineup delayed by roughly six weeks, consumer excitement could take a hit. However, given the flood of leaks teasing Google’s next-gen devices, there’s still plenty of hype leading up to the event. It also remains unclear when preorders will open for the postponed devices.
