Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has sought the cooperation of all political parties to tackle unrest and challenges in the province.
Speaking at the main event of Defense Day in Quetta, CM Bugti stated that Balochistan faces governance issues, and efforts are underway to improve them. He expressed readiness to work alongside all political parties to address these challenges.
He said that elements hostile to the nation are involved in creating unrest in the province, and that terrorists will be brought to justice.
The central ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif as the chief guest, alongside Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sayedal Khan Nasir, Commander of the Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem, provincial ministers, parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, and the families of martyrs.
During the event, the attendees paid tribute to the martyrs and remembered their sacrifices in glowing terms. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif emphasized that Pakistan can never forget the immense sacrifices made by its martyrs for the country’s stability. He urged that the nation must prioritize the collective interests of Pakistan above individual concerns.
He further stated that those who have laid down their lives in the fight for the survival of the country hold a place of high honor and greatness.
CM Bugti also reiterated his firm stance, stating that terrorists will be brought to their ultimate fate.
CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti hosted a banquet in honor of PPP’s central leader Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, provincial ministers, and members of the assembly.
During the event, CM Bugti emphasized his commitment to improving governance, noting that governance, law and order, and climate change are major challenges. He highlighted that his government is working closely with coalition partners to address these challenges and is ready to work with all political parties to move Balochistan forward.
He further stated that education and health are top priorities, and that with the guidance of party leaders President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, significant improvements will be made in these sectors.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that enemies of the state are involved in creating unrest in Balochistan, and that terrorists will be dealt with decisively. He emphasized that the state's authority will be maintained at all costs.
PPP Senator Nayyer Hussain Bukhari acknowledged that the Chief Minister has developed a comprehensive strategy for the development of Balochistan. He noted that the situation in Balochistan is different from other provinces, but the provincial government is focused on serving the public and will meet the expectations of the people.
He also said that the party's provincial ministers, assembly members, and workers will work hand in hand with the Chief Minister in the mission of public service.
