No-Code Website Builder Framer Hits $2 Billion Valuation

No-Code Website Builder Framer Hits $2 Billion Valuation

Framer, the no-code website builder boasting over half a million monthly active users, has reached a $2 billion valuation after raising $100 million in a Series D round led by existing backers Meritech and Atomico.

This “double unicorn” milestone comes at a time when the website-building market is highly competitive—ranging from established players like Figma, Squarespace, and Wix to emerging “vibe coding” platforms such as Cursor and Lovable.

Meritech led the $27 million in Series C fundraising that Framer had previously obtained in 2023.

Expanding Into Enterprise and AI

“We are doubling down on enterprise growth and AI with this funding, so any firm can run their entire website on Framer with confidence,” stated Koen Bok, co-founder and CEO of Framer.

Unlike static landing page tools, Framer supports dynamic websites that can be updated quickly without developer involvement. Recently, the company added analytics and enterprise-grade security features, aiming to help businesses manage their entire online presence seamlessly.

Founded in Amsterdam by Bok and Jorn van Dijk, who had earlier sold their design studio to Facebook, Framer positions itself as the “designer’s favorite website builder”, promising that sites created with its platform will stand out visually.

Enterprise Push Driving Growth

Framer is investing heavily in its enterprise segment. Enterprise clients are now its fastest-growing user group since business plans were introduced late last year. Notable clients include Miro, Perplexity, Scale AI, and nearly 40% of Y Combinator’s latest cohort.

This enterprise momentum is already reshaping Framer’s financials. The company now reports $50 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) for 2024, with a target of crossing $100 million ARR in 2025. Bok added that the company has been operating at break-even for the past year.
