Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 Start Receiving Android 16 (One UI 8) Update

Samsung is rolling out the major Android 16 (One UI 8) update to owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, just a week after the same update was released for the newer Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 — keeping its update schedule impressively fast.

The update introduces several new features, many of them centered around Gemini AI, including Gemini Live and camera sharing, plus enhancements like Best Face for camera shots, wallpaper recommendations, lock screen redesigns as part of the broader Android 16 upgrade, and direct Galaxy Buds settings access without needing to open the Galaxy Wearable app. Once you install the update, expect a long list of new changes and improvements — definitely worth exploring in detail.
