The standard Google Home Premium plan costs $10 per month or $100 per year. Just like before, subscribers get 30 days of event-based video history from their cameras and doorbells. Additionally, Google now offers a “whole-home history” feature that allows users to track activity from all compatible devices directly in the Home app.
Smart alerts — such as familiar face detection, package detection, and garage door monitoring — remain part of the service. The system can also recognize sounds like breaking glass or smoke alarms through displays and speakers, and includes emergency calling support.
Subscribers also gain access to Gemini Live on speakers and smart displays, as well as a new “Help me build automations” feature that uses conversational AI to create smart home routines.
In a notable bundle, the $19.99/month Google AI Pro subscription — which unlocks Gemini 2.5 Pro and other advanced features — now includes the standard Google Home Premium tier at no extra cost.
The Google Home Premium Advanced plan, priced at $20 per month or $200 per year, upgrades your service to include 60 days of event video history and up to 10 days of continuous 24/7 video recording.
One of the headline new features powered by Gemini is AI-powered video search. Users can now query their video history with complex, conversational questions, and Google will automatically generate detailed event summaries from camera and doorbell footage. This also includes a “Home Brief” daily activity summary.
If you’re already a Google AI Pro subscriber, you can upgrade to the Advanced plan for an additional $10 per month. Alternatively, the plan is fully included in the $249.99/month Google AI Ultra subscription.
