The hearing of the cipher case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Attock jail has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court.
A petition has been filed against the notification issued by the Ministry of Law to transfer the court to Attock jail.
This petition was filed through lawyer Sher Afzal Maroof, in which it is requested that the court declare the illegal notification of transferring the hearing of the cipher case to Attock jail as null and void.
On the other hand, in the hearing of the cipher case held in District Jail Attock, the judicial remand of PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been extended till September 13.
The hearing was scheduled in Attock jail due to security concerns and Imran Khan was produced before Judge Abualhasanat.
- The cipher case is a high-profile case in which Imran Khan is accused of leaking classified information to a foreign power.
- The hearing of the case was originally scheduled to be held in Islamabad, but the government moved it to Attock jail due to security concerns.
- Imran Khan's lawyers have challenged the government's decision to move the hearing to Attock jail, arguing that it is a violation of his fundamental rights.
