The purpose of the visit is to deepen the historical and fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a one-day visit.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, this is Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's first visit to the UAE since assuming office.
A high-level delegation comprising key cabinet ministers has also arrived in the UAE with the Prime Minister. The delegation includes Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Jam Kamal, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister stated that the purpose of the visit is to deepen the historical and fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE. He is looking forward to fruitful discussions with the UAE leadership during the visit.
During the visit, a meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, is expected, where they will discuss cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan.
It is also expected that the Prime Minister will meet with Emirati business leaders and heads of financial institutions during the visit.
During these meetings, the Prime Minister will discuss bilateral relations, including trade and investment.
The spokesperson further stated that Pakistan and the UAE have longstanding fraternal relations, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit is an important step towards strengthening multifaceted cooperation.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended a condolence ceremony in Tehran for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and other officials in a helicopter crash.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi were accompanying Shehbaz Sharif.
