I Won't Allow Myself to be Used for Political Purposes, Says Malik Riaz

Islamabad: Bahria Town's head, Malik Riaz, stated that he would never allow anyone to use him as a pawn for political purposes.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Malik Riaz said that throughout his life, Allah has always guided him to adhere to his principles and not become a political pawn in any matter.

He mentioned that for over a year now, he has been under immense pressure to compromise, but he would never allow anyone to use him for political purposes. 

Malik Riaz said that despite introducing state-of-the-art projects in Pakistan, he and his business have always been targeted. He added that since 1996, he has been enduring the consequences of contributing to the country's development.

He emphasized that with Allah's help, he has faced such pressures with courage and strength in the past. Today, in his personal capacity, he can firmly say, "over my dead body."

Malik Riaz further stated that despite his illness and distress, he remains steadfast in facing this ordeal with Allah's help, enduring daily financial losses and being pushed to the wall, but he will not succumb to any pressure tactics.

He prayed that Allah would guide and help him through this difficult period with dignity and success. Insha'Allah.
