In Karachi, a Grade 17 officer of the Cooperative Society has revealed that he holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics.
According to the report, during a hearing in the Sindh High Court regarding a housing society lease case, the court asked government officer Muharram Ali Sand about his educational qualifications. The Grade 17 officer disclosed that he had obtained a BA in Mathematics.
Justice Salahuddin Panhwar expressed surprise and asked which university offers a BA in Mathematics. Muharram Ali Sand then mentioned that he had completed his BA privately from Shah Latif University.
When the High Court inquired further, the Grade 17 officer couldn't even spell "Mathematics," causing laughter in the courtroom.
The Sindh High Court has adjourned the hearing of the housing society lease case until May 22.
