Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Azerbaijan for a two-day official visit, where he was warmly welcomed at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla oglu Eyyubov and other senior officials.
According to details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a Pakistani delegation, landed in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, for his official visit.
At Heydar Aliyev International Airport, he was received by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla oglu Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin, and other senior officials.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold high-level meetings with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and other top Azerbaijani officials. Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding trade and investment, enhancing cooperation in energy and defense, addressing the adverse effects of climate change, and promoting cultural exchanges.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements will be signed to further the partnership between the two brotherly nations.
Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijan’s leadership will also address a business forum, where business representatives from both countries will participate to explore opportunities for joint ventures, trade, and investment, emphasizing business-to-business cooperation.
Sources highlight that the two countries share a longstanding bond based on common values and shared goals.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Azerbaijan reflects the commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional cooperation.
He is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Ministers Jam Kamal, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
