Opposition Leader Omar Ayub has stated that the nation should prepare for new elections, while Imran Khan has also appealed to the nation to be ready for the general elections.
Speaking to the media after meeting PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail along with Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Sahibzada Hamid Raza Kazmi, and other leaders, Omar Ayub said that they had a pleasant meeting with the PTI founder today. The PTI founder has sent a message to General Asim Munir.
He said that Imran Khan conveyed that Shehbaz Sharif and the current government want to pit the Pakistan Army against PTI. Ninety percent of the public is standing behind Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The footage of the May 9 protests at the Corps Commander's House and GHQ House has disappeared.
The opposition leader said that the footage from the March 14 raid on Zaman Park has also disappeared, as well as the footage from the March 18 Judicial Complex incident. The PTI founder is going to court for this footage.
Omar Ayub mentioned that the Islamabad Commissioner canceled the permit for their rally. PTI will hold a rally again on August 5 in Islamabad, led by the Chief Minister of KPK. All the colleagues presented names for reserved seats to the PTI founder, who has stated that the seats should be given to the women who stood firm during tough times, with final decisions to be made by Kanwal Shauzab.
He said that Imran Khan has urged the nation to prepare for new general elections because the country will progress only if new elections are held. The current government has failed and has pushed the army against PTI and the public.
Omar Ayub said that the DG ISPR held a press conference acting as the Finance Minister and Interior Minister, proving that the government has failed. The hunger strike camp is for the release of the PTI founder and other detainees.
He further stated that people should participate in the peaceful protests called by the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz Pakistan. Since day one, we have been saying that the Election Commission misinterpreted the Supreme Court's decision. The Chief Election Commissioner and four provincial commissioners should resign immediately.
Later, in his third-day address to the media outside the Parliament House hunger strike camp, Omar Ayub said that General Asim Munir should be aware that Shehbaz Sharif's current government's attempt is to pit the army against PTI and the Pakistani public. This is dangerous because 90% of the public stands with PTI.
He said that the DG ISPR held a press conference because the Interior Minister and Foreign Minister are missing, and they have pushed the army to speak on their behalf. Imran Khan said that the nation should prepare for elections, and there will be protests across the country tomorrow, God willing.
Omar Ayub further mentioned that the Islamabad High Court has nullified the Chief Commissioner's order. The PTI founder has praised the hunger strike camp and urged the nation to stand firm, assuring that PTI will be victorious.
