Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, stated that he is considering officially asking Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to seek a vote of confidence, but has not yet made a final decision.

Speaking to a delegation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Union of Journalists, the governor mentioned that he would soon write a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to inform him about the deteriorating situation in the province, including issues of lawlessness, corruption, and poor governance.

He added that while he is thinking about formally requesting the chief minister to seek a vote of confidence, no official decision has been made so far.

Faisal Karim Kundi blamed the worsening security situation on the incompetent and corrupt group imposed on the province. He said the public can assess the dire state of healthcare, education, and law and order themselves. The "blind in wisdom" have completely destroyed the province economically. He further mentioned that funds meant for the former FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) are being spent on specific districts.

The governor criticized the government for initially approving the appointment of vice-chancellors in several universities through a circulated summary but later withdrawing the decision after being questioned by the Supreme Court. He accused the government of wanting to reappoint vice-chancellors to hire favored individuals.

He also stated that no university land in the province, including Mardan, would be sold off.

In response to a question about rejecting the appointment of a new advisor to the chief minister, Kundi clarified that the constitution does not allow the chief minister to appoint more than five advisors at a time, which is why he returned the summary. He added that signing off on the summary for a sixth advisor would have meant participating in an unconstitutional act.

He questioned the reason behind the dismissal and reshuffling of advisors within three months, suggesting that either the advisors were incompetent or corrupt. He asked the chief minister to clarify why these advisors were removed.

The governor expressed concern about the security situation in the province, especially in the southern districts, where government officials are unable to travel in official or personal vehicles. He mentioned that there are considerations to relocate government offices from Tank due to the precarious situation.
