The Israeli military has bombed a southern town in the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Israel claims that the target of the attack was Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
According to Arab media reports from Beirut, the Israeli military targeted a specific building on the airport road. It is said that the main target of the attack was Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah; however, he remained safe.
Israeli media has claimed that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was injured in the airstrike on Beirut, but Hezbollah has denied this, stating that Hassan Nasrallah is unharmed.
According to Arab media, Israeli aircraft fired 10 missiles at the Al-Burj building. An Israeli spokesperson said that Israeli forces targeted Hezbollah's central command in the bombing.
The Israeli military spokesperson mentioned that Hezbollah’s central command was established beneath the building.
Arab media reported that this was the most powerful Israeli bombing on Beirut in the past five days. Four buildings were damaged in the attack.
Israel may launch a ground offensive on southern Lebanon at any moment. The Israeli army has moved dozens of tanks, armored vehicles, and other equipment to the Lebanese border. Clear orders have already been issued to the troops. The Israeli army has carried out a major attack on Hezbollah militia’s central headquarters in the southern part of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut.
In light of unusual military activity on the border with Lebanon, residents of the border areas have been advised to move to safer regions as soon as possible. If ground fighting with Hezbollah intensifies, the people living in these areas may suffer significant casualties.
It is worth noting that Israel's army chief, General Herzi Halevi, warned two days ago that further steps were being taken to stop attacks from southern Lebanon, including ground offensives. Israel has been preparing for several days.
General Herzi Halevi stated that in order to completely eliminate Hezbollah's ability to attack Israel, ground operations are necessary, and the infrastructure must be completely destroyed.
In recent days, the Israeli army has targeted more than 500 Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, which is considered a Hezbollah stronghold. Over 700 civilians have been killed in bombings and missile attacks, with a large number of Hezbollah members among the dead. Top Hezbollah commanders Ibrahim Aqil, Ahmed Wahbi, and others have been martyred.
Israeli Bombardment on Southern Lebanon for Fifth Day, Hezbollah Rockets Target Haifa
After nighttime bombardment of several areas in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa region, Israel resumed attacks on towns in the south for the fifth consecutive day.
Al-Arabiya's correspondent reported on Friday that an Israeli attack on a house in the southern town of Shebaa killed nine people. A car was also targeted in the Bint Jbeil district, killing three people.
The towns of Meifdoun, Joya, Khiyam, Khirbet Selm, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Ramadiyah, and Qabrikha were also hit in the attacks. The southern areas of Baraachit, Kounin, Beit Yahoun, and Houla were also targeted.
Rockets Fired at Haifa
During this period, several rockets were fired at Israel from Lebanon. Al-Arabiya or Al-Hadath’s reporters clarified that sirens were sounded in the Gulf of Haifa. One rocket landed in the Gulf of Haifa, and another in the northern region. Rockets were also fired at Tiberias and its surrounding areas.
Over 700 Deaths
On Thursday, Lebanon's Ministry of Health announced that 92 people had been killed and 153 injured in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry's statistics, more than 700 people have died in Israeli attacks since Monday. Many of these martyrs include women, children, and ordinary civilians. The Israeli bombing has displaced more than 90,000 people.
