Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, labeling Israel’s actions as expansionist threats, has suggested that Islamic countries should form an alliance against Israel.
According to a report by the foreign news agency Reuters, during a speech at an event organized by the Islamic Schools Association in Istanbul, President Erdoğan stated that Israel's arrogance, bullying, and Israeli terrorism can only be stopped through the united action of Islamic countries.
He added that Turkey's recent efforts to restore relations with Egypt and Syria are aimed at forming a coalition against such expansionist threats.
The Turkish president also described Israel as a threat to Lebanon and Syria.
According to Anadolu, Erdoğan made this statement following the martyrdom of a Turkish-American girl, Aysunur Ezgi Eyi, who was killed by Israeli forces during protests in the West Bank.
He condemned the Israeli military's targeting of a Turkish-American citizen and said that now they intend to carry out genocide and occupation on both sides of the West Bank and Gaza.
Erdoğan further stated that yesterday, they killed our daughter, Aysunur Ezgi Eyi, and to date, they have martyred more than 40,000 innocent civilians, including over 17,000 children.
He said that Israel, showing brutality, is shedding blood regardless of whether it belongs to children, women, youth, or the elderly.
He emphasized that the situation in Gaza is not merely a conflict between Israel and Palestine but a struggle between Zionist expansionism and Muslims defending their homeland.
Erdoğan pointed out that there is a misconception in Turkey and some other Islamic countries that this conflict is irrelevant to them, which is a major mistake.
He warned that Israel will not stop in Gaza, and if its current operations continue, it will target Ramallah next, with its eyes set on other regions thereafter.
He mentioned that Lebanon and Syria will be the next targets, and Israel's aim will be to seize areas between our homeland’s Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
Erdoğan stated that Hamas is not only fighting the war of Gaza but the war of the entire Islamic world, including Turkey.
The Turkish president urged that all Muslim countries should adopt a unified stance against Israel's undeclared occupation.
