Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's “All-Day Battery” Claim Faces Skepticism in Latest Marketing Leak

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge's “All-Day Battery” Claim Faces Skepticism in Latest Marketing Leak

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be officially unveiled on May 12. However, leaks continue to surface—and this time, marketing materials are highlighting a promise of “all-day battery life.” But the claim appears hard to reconcile with the leaked specs of the device.

Multiple reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will pack a modest 3,900mAh battery, despite its large body and high-resolution display. That’s smaller than the battery in the base Galaxy S25, which is surprising considering the Edge has a larger screen and frame. The device is also rumored to feature an ultra-slim 5.84mm profile, raising concerns about battery endurance.

Marketing Claims vs. Reality

In newly leaked promotional images shared by Android Headlines, Samsung boldly advertises the S25 Edge as having “All-Day Battery” life. However, a lengthy disclaimer follows—revealing that actual battery life can vary significantly depending on network conditions, app usage, number of calls/messages, charging habits, and other factors.

The estimate is based on tests conducted between March 12–20, 2025, using a pre-release version of the device (model SM-5937) in LTE and 5G sub-6 environments. The testing did not include mmWave 5G networks, and results were compiled by UX Connect Research using default settings.

Though such disclaimers are standard in the industry—and similar ones have been seen with the Galaxy A56—the “all-day” claim is hard to accept at face value. In reviews of the base Galaxy S25, which has a larger battery and a lower-resolution display, concerns were raised about needing to recharge by mid-afternoon during heavy use.

Other Details from the Leak

The marketing leak also highlighted several key features:

  • 200MP main camera

  • Titanium frame

  • IP68 water and dust resistance

  • Rear panel made with Gorilla Glass Victus 2

Additionally, some of Samsung's official cases for the S25 Edge were shown, but none appear to support Q2 magnetic accessories—at least not in the robust form users might expect.

With a smaller battery and power-hungry specs, Samsung’s confidence in “all-day” battery life for the Galaxy S25 Edge is raising eyebrows. Marketing optimism aside, users may have to wait for real-world reviews to see if the slim profile compromises daily usability.
