Last year, Google doubled the calculation speed of Sheets on the web. Now, another round of performance improvements is rolling out.
Today, Google is introducing speed enhancements for "everyday tasks," including:
- 30% faster loading of existing spreadsheet data.
- Up to 50% faster pasting when transferring data between spreadsheets.
- 50% quicker processing of filter conditions.
These improvements help users work more efficiently across different scenarios:
- Small business owners can now load their data more quickly.
- Campaign managers can apply filters faster to analyze performance at a specific time.
- Data analysts can copy and paste large or small data sets into new spreadsheets with increased speed.
The performance boost is now available to all Google Workspace users, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account holders.
Previously, updates for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge enhanced the speed of formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and more.
