Pakistan Strongly Reacts to Netanyahu’s Statement on a Palestinian State in Saudi Arabia

Pakistan has strongly reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s suggestion of establishing a Palestinian state inside Saudi Arabia, condemning the statement as irresponsible.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson denounced Netanyahu’s remarks, in which he suggested that Palestinians should establish their state in Saudi Arabia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar labeled Netanyahu’s statement as irresponsible, provocative, and unacceptable. He stated that such remarks blatantly deny the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and their legitimate claim to an independent state on their historical and legal homeland.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and appreciated the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

He further stated that any attempt to undermine Saudi Arabia’s stance or misrepresent its commitment to the Palestinian cause is regrettable and unacceptable.

The Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized Pakistan’s clear and firm position that the Palestinian people have an inalienable right to establish a sovereign and independent state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The spokesperson warned that any proposal to displace Palestinians from their homeland or resettle them elsewhere would be a blatant violation of international laws, UN resolutions, and the principles of justice and fairness, which Pakistan will never accept.

Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering stance, the Foreign Office stated that the country would continue working with Saudi Arabia and the international community to seek a just, comprehensive, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.

Pakistan also called on the global community to strongly condemn Netanyahu’s provocative statement and hold Israel accountable for attempts to derail the peace process.
