Ministry of Information Organizes Visit to LoC for Pakistani and International Media

The Ministry of Information has arranged a visit to the Line of Control (LoC) for Pakistani and international media today and tomorrow. The media will be taken to locations that India claims are terrorist camps.

In a statement issued by Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar, he said that the purpose of the LoC visit is to expose Indian propaganda.

He stated that India spreads false propaganda about so-called and imaginary terrorist camps in Pakistan and also makes baseless claims about alleged terrorist hideouts along the LoC.

He clarified that Pakistan rejects terrorist activities anywhere in the world and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to peace, while also making it clear that any Indian aggression will be met with a befitting response.

The statement from the Information Minister further said that both international and Pakistani media will be taken to those locations along the LoC which India labels as terrorist camps.

It was added that local media will be briefed on the ground realities of these specific locations, while the Pakistani nation remains determined to defend its sovereignty.

It is worth noting that after the killing of 26 tourists on April 22 in Pahalgam — a Muslim-majority area of Indian-occupied Kashmir — India announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty on April 23.

In response, the National Security Committee decided to suspend trade with India and shut down the Wagah border. Additionally, Pakistani airspace was closed to Indian airlines, and Indian citizens were ordered to leave Pakistan within 48 hours.
