Federal minister and chief NCOC Asad Omar says outdoor dining has been banned across the country until Eid, while schools will also be closed in areas with more than 5% corona cases.
Giving a media briefing after the National Coordination Committee meeting, Federal Minister Asad Omar said that indoor dining is already banned, outdoor dining has been banned till Eid, only takeaways will be allowed.
He said that office hours will be till 2 pm and more than 50% people should not be called to offices while all markets will remain open till 6 pm, after 6 pm essential commodity shops will open.
Referring to schools, Asad Omar said that schools will be closed in districts where there are more than 5% positive cases.
The federal minister said that there may be a situation in which cities will have to be locked up, they will plan with the provinces on lockdown.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health said that there is pressure on our health system and hospitals, we are using up to 90% of our capacity.
Dr Faisal said that if we do not follow SOPs we will have to lockdown.
