After meeting with the PTI founder in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, Ali Muhammad Khan spoke to the media, saying that PTI will hold a large rally in Islamabad on July 6. He called on the entire nation to come out for freedom and the rule of law, stating that their struggle is to bring the powerful under the law.
He further mentioned that this was the first meeting with the PTI founder after Eid. He expressed regret that the nation's leader is being kept in such harsh conditions. The PTI founder is facing great injustice at his age, as he stood against a corrupt system and mafia.
He added that people from all walks of life wanted a leader who would stand for the country. The PTI founder has been kept in 40 to 45-degree heat for 340 days. No leader like him exists in PML-N, PPP, JUI, or Jamaat-e-Islami.
Ali Muhammad Khan said that the PTI founder has a special message for the nation. He has not been in power for the last two years, and the situation has worsened. Electricity and gas prices have increased, and promises made in the budget have been changed. Where it hurts the most, no taxes are imposed, and no one speaks up.
The PTI founder reduced the Prime Minister House budget, while Asif Zardari increased it by 70 to 80 crore. Bills are introduced in the assembly to raise the salaries of MNAs. PTI opposed the increase in MNAs and MPAs' salaries. Taxes on mobile phones were raised, but the wealthy were not targeted.
Ali Muhammad Khan further stated that government employees are suppressed, and the powerful are not held accountable. He mentioned that the Prime Minister called the budget an IMF budget. He reiterated that the rally on July 6 in Islamabad is a message to the entire nation to come out for freedom and the rule of law. Their struggle is to bring the powerful under the law so that both the powerful and the poor are within the legal framework.
