Speaking on Dawn News' program "Doosra Rukh," former National Assembly Speaker and PTI leader Asad Qaiser said, "There is an option to end the government either through in-house change or new elections. PTI and Maulana Fazlur Rehman can no longer stay apart. Our agenda is the same, and we will start a movement against the government together soon."
He termed taking the government in 2018 a mistake, saying, "Taking the previous government was a mistake by PTI. We should not have taken a weak government. We should not have dissolved the provincial assemblies. In my opinion, we should not have dissolved the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa."
Asad Qaiser rejected the demand for an apology, calling it unconstitutional.
In response to a question, he said, "There is no concept of an apology from the establishment. The demand for an apology by the institution is unconstitutional. The institution should not have spoken publicly in this manner."
The former Speaker said that there is currently a civil martial law in the country, with no existence of the constitution or law. He claimed that "99% of the public considers this government to be fake and a mandate thief, as shown by surveys."
He added, "Mark my words, if the PML-N remains in government any longer, its status will be lower than that of PML-Q. Nawaz Sharif sees his party diminishing, while Shahbaz Sharif knows that he, his brother, and niece have lost the elections, and Maryam Nawaz Sharif is an illegitimate Chief Minister of Punjab."
Asad Qaiser announced the intention to challenge the recently passed defamation law by the Punjab Assembly in court and stated that PTI will also protest the defamation law in the National Assembly.
