Preorders Arrived Early, But the Galaxy S25 Ultra Still Has $900 Off with Free Storage Upgrade

This week, many of us experienced this with Galaxy S25 preorders through Samsung's site, as our orders arrived a week ahead of schedule. The picture above is of my 512GB Galaxy S25 Ultra in exclusive online Titanium Jet Black. It's definitely a sight to behold!

But hey, while the Galaxy S25 preorders arrived early, Samsung is still in the preorder phase for this phone, meaning the deals aren't finished just yet. In most cases, the shipping timelines remain unchanged, assuming you didn’t order the exact configuration I did.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra Still Has $900 Off:

The original Galaxy S25 Ultra deals are still available, so you can still get one for as low as $399—down from the usual $1,299 starting price, with double the storage.

To get the full $900 discount, you'll need to trade in your top phone, as always. We've compiled a list of the best trade-in prices (here), but your best bet is to go straight to Samsung’s site and check it out yourself. As you can imagine, phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra and last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 are fetching $900 in trade-in value. Older phones like the Galaxy S22+ and Pixel 7 Pro will fall in the range of $400 to $450.

Samsung's trade-in program provides an instant discount, meaning you'll get the price reduction right away. So, if you trade in a phone worth $900, you’ll pay only $399 today.

Free Storage Upgrade:

Once again, Samsung is bringing back its free storage upgrade promotion with this launch. This means for just an additional $120, you can upgrade from 256GB to 512GB or 1TB. I highly recommend going for the 512GB upgrade, especially if you plan on keeping the phone for a while. The 1TB option is wild, but if you need that kind of space, then go for it—no judgment!

Keep in mind, though, that they’re suggesting this storage upgrade is part of a bonus credit pool, but it really isn’t. Even though they say you have $350 in credits to spend, that’s not the case. You’ll just be choosing to upgrade from 256GB to 512GB for free or opting for a heavily discounted 1TB upgrade. After making your choice, you’ll see how much credit is left for items like watches, cases, or earbuds. Don’t get confused—just treat it as you have in past years.
