We Must Set Aside Political Interests and Move Forward for the Country’s Betterment Punjab Governor

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has stated that no agenda is greater than national security, and all leaders must be on the same page in the fight against terrorism.

While addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in honor of the legal fraternity at the Governor House, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan emphasized that national security is the top priority and that leaders must unite against terrorism. He stressed the need to set aside political interests and work towards the country’s stability and progress.

Governor Punjab highlighted that the Iftar dinner at Governor House Lahore was arranged through personal efforts and not a single rupee from the government was spent on it. He further mentioned that individuals from all walks of life, including the legal fraternity, were invited.

He clarified that the Iftar gathering at Governor House was not for ministers or advisors but for the common people. He also announced that Bilawal Bhutto would soon join the people of Punjab for an Iftar at Governor House.

Addressing the lawyers, Governor Punjab acknowledged their significant role in promoting democracy and strengthening institutions. He also expressed confidence that the legal community would play a frontline role in making Bilawal Bhutto the Prime Minister.

Furthermore, he stated that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is a party of the people and prefers to stay among them. As long as he remains in office, the doors of the Governor House will remain open to the public.

Governor Punjab asserted that a society can survive under oppression, but not under injustice. He reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to ensuring justice for the people.

The Iftar dinner hosted by Governor Punjab witnessed an overwhelming participation of lawyers from across the province. The Governor personally met with lawyers and took selfies with them.
