The Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan and India contacted the hotline and reiterated strict adherence to all ceasefire agreements and accords on the LoC and other sectors.
According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), significant progress has been made in Pak-India relations. And it has been agreed to resolve any unforeseen situations and misunderstandings through the existing system of Border Flag Meetings.
DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar while talking said that the talks between Pak-India DGMOs were held in a cordial atmosphere, the situation of all sectors including LoC was reviewed and the situation of LOC and all other sectors was discussed. The situation was reviewed.
According to ISPR, the DGMOs agreed to address key issues and concerns, while Pakistan and India agreed to streamline the existing hotline mechanism.
DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said that contacts between Pakistan and India have been going on since 1987. Another understanding was reached in 2003 for ceasefire on LOC, ceasefire violations on LOC since 2014. I was in a hurry.
According to ISPR, there have been more than 13,500 ceasefire violations since 2003, in which 310 civilians were killed and about 1,600 injured.
The DG ISPR said that between 2014 and 2021, there were 97% ceasefire violations, while in 2019, there were the highest number of ceasefire violations.
According to ISPR, ceasefire violations caused the most casualties in 2018.
