Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon present an economic recovery plan to the nation.

Speaking at an event, Ahsan Iqbal mentioned that efforts are being made to provide relief to the public in their electricity bills. He emphasized that everyone must play their role in solving the country's problems, as Pakistan is rich in all kinds of resources.

The Federal Minister noted that there is no shortage of talent in Pakistan, and Pakistanis have proven their abilities in every field globally.

He also pointed out that fake news is the biggest challenge of today, which has been used to mislead the youth. He called for an end to the politics of hate and accusations, stressing that unity, not division, is needed at this time.

It is worth noting that prior to August 14, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had tasked ministries and departments with implementing strategies that bring hope and joy to the nation.

Government sources told ARY News that, on the Prime Minister's instructions, the Ministry of Finance has prepared a new strategy to reduce inflation and stabilize the economy. Under this economic plan, the goal is to increase the growth rate, reduce inflation, and lower the fiscal deficit.

Sources revealed that a five-year plan, overseen by a British economist, has been prepared for sustainable economic development, which is expected to be unveiled on August 14. The plan will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Officials from the Ministry of Finance shared that a target of 6% annual economic growth has been proposed by 2028, with reforms aiming to boost exports to $60 billion by 2028. The plan prioritizes promoting private investment and increasing exports.

According to government sources, successful implementation of the reforms is estimated to create one million job opportunities annually. The proposed plan also includes suggestions for reducing energy and business costs.

The plan recommends the transfer of technology from China to Pakistan and suggests promoting exports through joint ventures with friendly countries.

The plan proposes increasing the tax-to-GDP ratio to 13.5% and raising investment and exports to 15%. Sources noted that political stability is deemed necessary for the successful implementation of the proposed plan.
