PTI Leader Faisal Javed Stopped from Traveling to Saudi Arabia – Offloaded at Peshawar Airport

PTI leader Faisal Javed was stopped at Peshawar Airport from traveling to Saudi Arabia. He was heading for Umrah. Faisal Javed stated that the High Court had ordered the removal of his name from the PNIL. He accused FIA officials of contempt of court.

Senator Faisal Javed was offloaded from the flight at Peshawar Airport while he was traveling for Umrah. He claimed that the Peshawar High Court had granted him permission to perform Umrah.

Faisal Javed further said that the High Court had ordered the removal of his name from the PNIL, and he even presented the court’s order at the airport.

The PTI leader asserted that FIA immigration officials had disrespected the court’s ruling.

Earlier Developments

Earlier, the Peshawar High Court issued a two-page ruling regarding the inclusion of PTI Senator Faisal Javed’s name in the ECL. The court ordered the relevant authorities to remove his name from the ECL.

The court granted Faisal Javed permission to travel for Umrah, stating in the order that law enforcement agencies may review his case again upon his return.

According to the ruling, the petitioner has already been acquitted in some cases, and his name should be removed from the ECL.
