The Apex Committee meeting, held on Tuesday at the Chief Minister's Secretariat, was presided over by CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti. It was attended by Commander Balochistan Corps, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General of Police, and other senior officials.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of the province’s law and order situation, counter-terrorism measures, and the performance of security forces. It also assessed the implementation of decisions from previous national and provincial Apex Committee meetings.
The committee stressed the need for strict measures against terrorism and more effective intelligence sharing.
On this occasion, CM Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that all institutions are united in ensuring peace and that no effort will be spared to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
Discussions were also held on border management, curbing smuggling, and actions under the National Action Plan.
Senior officials in the meeting agreed that close coordination between security forces and the civil administration is essential for establishing lasting peace in Balochistan.
CM Sarfraz Bugti instructed the immediate implementation of the meeting’s decisions, emphasizing that the government will take all necessary steps to ensure public safety and the continuity of development projects.
