Ali Khurshidi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly from Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM), has stated that the ministers and feudal lords of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) should first reflect on their 15-year performance before making statements against the MQM.

Reacting to a statement by Nasir Hussain Shah, Ali Khurshidi said that every child in Sindh is aware of the corruption under PPP’s government. He remarked that while development often leads to corruption globally, in Sindh, development only happens when there's a need to commit corruption.

He added that the PPP has elevated corruption to an industry in Sindh. Every year, national and international reports on corruption rank the Sindh government at the top. The dilapidated infrastructure, as well as the healthcare and education systems, are evidence of the Sindh government's corruption.

Ali Khurshidi questioned how many jobs the Sindh government has provided to the youth of Karachi in the last 15 years. He asked how much money the Sindh government spends annually on Karachi, which contributes 70% of the national budget.

He pointed out that the hospitals, roads, parks, and schools in Karachi are built with loans from the World Bank, which the citizens of Karachi will have to repay. The biased Sindh government of PPP does not provide water, sewage, education, or jobs to Karachi and other cities.

Karachi Contributes Over 60% to National Revenue: MQM Leader Farooq Sattar

Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, Dr. Farooq Sattar, stated that Karachi contributes more than 60% to the national revenue.

MQM organized a tree-planting event at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

During the event, Dr. Farooq Sattar emphasized that Karachi’s contribution to the national revenue exceeds 60%. He argued that the quota system is designed to marginalize Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur.

Farooq Sattar also criticized the practice of giving jobs in Karachi based on fake domiciles.

He further mentioned that if given the opportunity, MQM would transform Abbasi Shaheed Hospital into a top-tier hospital. He noted that the first MRI machine was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital during their tenure.
