In a crackdown in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Khanpur police arrested a fake blind beggar who had been pretending to be visually impaired for the past 15 years to collect alms.

According to the police, during the initial investigation, the suspect attempted to act blind, but when questioned, he responded fluently, unintentionally revealing the truth.

The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to the police station, where he confessed to faking blindness to gain people's sympathy and collect money.

The arrested individual is reportedly from Vehari and had been traveling to different cities to carry out his fraudulent begging scheme.

Khanpur police described the operation as part of their campaign against professional beggars and vowed to take stricter action against such individuals in the future.
