UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called the Pak-India ceasefire a positive development.
According to a UN spokesman, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed hope that a ceasefire on the Line of Control will pave the way for further talks between Pakistan and India.
He further said that the Pak-India Joint Declaration has encouraged the UN Secretary General.
The President of the United Nations General Assembly has called the Pak-India Joint Declaration an example for others.
It may be recalled that the Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India had a hotline yesterday in which it was agreed to strictly implement the ceasefire agreement on the LoC.
Following this consensus, the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control has begun.
The United States welcomed the Pak Indian ceasefire
The United States welcomes the joint declaration of ceasefire between Pakistan and India on the Line of Control (LoC).
White House spokeswoman Jane Sackie called the move a positive step toward peace and stability in South Asia.
He says wider peace and stability in South Asia is in everyone's interest, and encourages both countries to take this progress further.
