According to Indian media, the film’s re-release has performed exceptionally well, earning ₹251.6 million (₹25.16 crore) within just five days in India. It has surpassed Himesh Reshammiya’s films BR and Loyapa at the box office.
Reports suggest that Sanam Teri Kasam has made a surprising return to cinemas with its re-release, attracting audiences once again.
At the Indian box office, the film has now set the record for the highest-grossing re-released Hindi film. Originally released in 2016, the film failed to perform well at the box office at that time.
Sanam Teri Kasam is also trending on social media, not just due to its re-release and strong box office performance but also because Mawra Hocane is currently among Pakistan’s top trending topics, largely due to her wedding.
Interestingly, the film was initially released on February 5, 2016, and this time, it re-released on February 7, 2025—the same day as Mawra Hocane’s wedding, making it a significant occasion for both the film and the actress.
It is worth noting that Sanam Teri Kasam was made on a budget of ₹140 million (₹14 crore), but during its original release, it failed to impress audiences and flopped at the box office, earning only ₹91 million (₹9.1 crore).
However, with its re-release, the film has now turned the tables and crossed the ₹250 million mark within just five days, marking a spectacular success.
